Not that anybody reads this, anyway.
So, two nights ago, I fell in love with a lot of people and a lot of things.
The first person I fell in love with was my wife, Vikki. well, we weren't married when I fell in love, but we decided to get married in Yumchaa tea shop in Camden with my first wife Kelly, and iced tea.
Then I fell in love with Yumchaa iced tea. Next time I'm in Camden, I'm hitting that place up again.
Then when we got inside the gig, it was insane. As Beth said, it was a pressure cooker in there, and she was the one wearing shorts! The next thing I fell in love with was The Underworld as a venue, as it is frankly amazing. The gig kicked off with a girl named Alex Roots singing. She was really pretty but wearing some very dangerous shoes. She would have worked better if she was the frontgal of a band though as opposed to a solo singer, I think.
I fell in love with My Passion for the umpteenth time when they took to the stage - particularly with lead singer Laurence, as he wore my hat onstage. If you look for photos of their set, you might see him wearing it. WIN.
After My Passion's set I had a terrible headache and left the standing area to go get a drink. At the bar, the firts person I ran into was someone who looked oddly familiar: Rhys from The Blackout. I picked him up, and he hit his head. Oops. He then said "speak to you later", which turned out to be oddly prophetic. So, I fell in love with the bar staff for giving me about six cups of free water.
I fell in love with all the members of The Blackout (who were hanging around) who obliged to try on my kitty hat. Particularly their merch guy Jay, who saw me and just took my hat without asking. Sean and Matthew obliged to hold the kitty hat and look awkward, and I even had an uninterupted conversation with The Blackout's blond bombshell. The downside of that is that now he knows I'm 14, and he looked rather shocked at some of the things going on with me and the bassist Rhys xD Out of all of TBO though, I fell in love with Rhys the most. He deserves his own paragraph, so here it is:
He was such a sweetie - I ran into him so many times throughout the night, and every time he smiled at me or hugged me or had a chat. I had a group hug with Bob, Jay and Rhys at one point, which Gav and a laod of other people then joined in, but as I was right in the middle I sort of lost all balance and then tumbled into Rhys. He just hugged me to him for a good solid minute before I felt up to walking in a straight line! One of the highlights was asking to marry him, along with Kelly (we asked at the same time). He said yes, and seemed rather cheered to have two girls kissing him on the cheek at the same time! I picked Rhys up at one point, and then he proceeded to pick me up too! He wore my kitty hat, and Kelly's kitty ears, and when I met him again outside we had an incredibly long conversation about all kids of stuff. Seriously. He told me that next time I see him, I have to yell "PICK ME UP!" at him and he'll know exactly who I am.
So if you read all that, well done. Most of all, i think I fell in love with my friends again, both old and new. There's nothing quite like going to a gig to make you appreciate who you have.
